Men’s & Women’s Tournament competition.

We are excited to announce the launch of our very first official inaugural international event under All Asia Golf Tours – The Haikou Cup. This inaugural tournament will be played across the spectacular fairways of Mission Hills Haikou one of two as Asia’s most iconic golfing destinations. The Haikou Cup marks the beginning of our mission to bring golfers from around the world together for premium tournament experiences across Asia. ​ Players are invited to a 7 day tour that combines competitive golf with luxury and relaxation. ​ Often described as China’s Hawaii, Hainan Island lies in the South China Sea, just a short one-hour flight from Hong Kong and 2 hours 15 minutes from Bangkok.  Guests will enjoy six nights of five-star accommodation at the award-winning Mission Hills Haikou Resort, with four rounds of golf on championship courses—each round on a different layout. Every game includes your own caddy and cart, we are happy to accept WHS, Birdie, and other handicap systems.

Sporting Event Style Event

​

Participation in the Haikou Cup requires only an official handicap—you don’t need to be a top-level golfer to compete.

This Stableford-format tournament will be contested over four rounds at Mission Hills, with men’s and women’s divisions running side by side. Prizes will be awarded both daily and overall, ensuring competition remains lively throughout. For the more serious contenders, a gross section will also be available for low-handicap golfers.

Caddies

​

As part of your golfing experience in Asia, each round will include both a personal caddy and a cart. This is a standard feature at resort courses throughout the region, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable round of golf.

While caddies are supported by the resorts—often receiving uniforms, meals, and in some cases accommodation—their base pay is very modest. The majority of their income comes from tips. It is both customary and expected to tip your caddy at the end of each round. A guideline amount is approximately 100 RMB (USD $20–$25).

Our caddies work hard to enhance your game and your overall enjoyment on the course, so your generosity is greatly appreciated.

How to Fly to Haikou Airport on Hainan Island

 

Traveling to Hainan Island from New Zealand or Australia is easier than you might think. The most common route is via Hong Kong, with a connecting flight onward to Haikou. Alternatively, several airlines offer flights through major Chinese cities, providing flexible options depending on your schedule. From Australia, Hainan Airlines operates direct flights to Haikou Airport, making travel straightforward for those seeking convenience. Flying from Thailand is quick and easy generally flights are just over 2 hours with Hainan Air.

Either book yourself from Thailand or you can join us on a joint booking from Bangkok, any savings we will pass on.

Visas
 

Visitors to China generally require a visa, but there are simplified options for travelers heading directly to Hainan Island. Passport holders from 55 countries can take advantage of a visa-on-arrival or a special local tourist visa, allowing for a hassle-free entry without the need to obtain a standard visa beforehand. This makes Hainan Island an accessible and welcoming destination for many international travelers.
